Harry Watches the Marauder's Map for Ron

Harry begins to take out the Marauder's Map at night, hoping to see Ron Weasley's dot reappear at Hogwarts, signaling his return. Although he tells himself that Ron has likely returned to the safety and comfort of Hogwarts, Ron's name never appears. Harry also watches for Ginny Weasley's dot in the girls' dormitory, wondering if she can somehow sense that he is thinking about her. The map becomes a source of mixed feelings as Harry simultaneously misses Ginny and resents Ron's absence.
