    Dobby returns to rescue Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Griphook, successfully Disapparating them from Malfoy Manor. However, Bellatrix throws a silver knife as they escape, and Dobby is fatally wounded. They arrive at Shell Cottage, where Harry tries in vain to save Dobby's life, but the house-elf dies in Harry's arms.
