Lord Voldemort speaks through the walls of Hogwarts, demanding that Harry be handed over by midnight to avoid further bloodshed. The entire hall is frozen in terror, and Pansy Parkinson from Slytherin points to Harry, suggesting someone grab him. The other Houses—Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw—rise in defense of Harry, their wands drawn. Professor McGonagall orders Pansy and the Slytherins to leave the Hall first.
