During a trip to Hogsmeade, Harry, Ron, and Hermione spot Ludo Bagman meeting with goblins in the Three Broomsticks. Bagman notices Harry and pulls him aside to offer help with the golden egg. Harry declines, suspicious of Bagman's motives and his involvement with the goblins, but Bagman insists he just wants to help.
