Fred and George Weasley finally confess to Harry, Ron, and Hermione that they were blackmailing Ludo Bagman after he paid them in fake leprechaun gold. They explain that Bagman was deep in debt to goblins and had placed a bet on Harry winning the Triwizard Tournament. Bagman fled when he lost the bet.
