To everyone's surprise, Neville Longbottom volunteers information about the Cruciatus Curse. Moody enlarges a spider and demonstrates the effects of the curse, causing the spider to twitch in agony. Neville becomes visibly upset, and Hermione Granger is the first to notice his distress.
