As they walk through Budleigh Babberton, Dumbledore explains that they are there to recruit a retired professor, Horace Slughorn, to return to Hogwarts. Harry is uncertain about his role in this mission, but Dumbledore assures him they will find a use for him. They discuss the recent sacking of Cornelius Fudge and the appointment of Rufus Scrimgeour as Minister of Magic.
