Hepzibah Dies After the Meeting

Hepzibah Smith dies two days after Tom Riddle's visit. Hokey, her loyal house-elf, is blamed for accidentally poisoning her with cocoa. However, Dumbledore and Harry suspect Lord Voldemort manipulated Hokey's memory, just as he had done with his uncle Morfin. After Hepzibah's death, it is discovered that the cup and locket are missing, confirming that Lord Voldemort had stolen them.
