Hermione gathers signatures and establishes rules for the group

Hermione proposes that everyone in the group sign a list of names to keep track of the attendees and agree not to reveal the group's activities to Umbridge. Though some students are hesitant at first, including Zacharias Smith and Ernie Macmillan, everyone eventually agrees to sign. The group members leave the pub, having committed themselves to learning Defense Against the Dark Arts in secret.
