As Hermione continues to defend Snape's actions, believing that Dumbledore must have good reason to trust him, Ron and Hermione begin to bicker again. Harry, overwhelmed by their constant arguing and Snape's mistreatment, snaps at both of them, telling them to stop arguing and let him be. He storms off, leaving them behind as they stare in shock at his sudden outburst.
