Trelawney is Sacked by Umbridge

Sybill Trelawney is publicly dismissed by Dolores Umbridge during dinner in the Entrance Hall. Trelawney is hysterical, but Professor McGonagall steps in to comfort her. Umbridge revels in her victory, but Albus Dumbledore arrives just in time to announce that, while Umbridge can sack Trelawney, only he can remove her from Hogwarts, and he allows Trelawney to stay at the school.
