Lupin Covers for Harry and Takes the Map

Remus Lupin arrives in Snape's office and recognizes the Marauder's Map, but pretends it is a harmless joke item. He diffuses the situation, taking the map with him and warning Harry not to let Snape discover the truth. Lupin later explains to Harry that the map's creators would have enjoyed luring Harry into trouble and advises Harry to take Sirius Black more seriously.
