The Knight Bus arrives, and Harry is greeted by its conductor, Stan Shunpike. Harry learns that the Knight Bus provides emergency transportation for witches and wizards. After a brief conversation with Stan, Harry, using the name “Neville Longbottom” to avoid being recognized, pays the fare and boards the bus.
