After the chaos caused by the Cornish pixies, Ron and Harry are furious with Lockhart's incompetence. Hermione, however, defends Lockhart, pointing out all the achievements he has written about in his books. Ron and Harry are incredulous that Hermione still believes in Lockhart's abilities, despite his obvious failure in the classroom.
