Harry speaks Parseltongue to the engraved snake, causing the sink to reveal the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets. Despite Lockhart's protests, Harry, Ron, and Lockhart descend into the Chamber through a large pipe, eventually landing in a damp tunnel far beneath the school.
