While waiting, Harry finds a Kwikspell envelope on Filch's desk and realizes that Filch might not be a proper wizard. Before Filch can punish Harry, Peeves creates a distraction by wrecking a vanishing cabinet, allowing Harry to escape Filch's wrath.
