As the trio descend the marble staircase, they witness Fenrir Greyback attacking Lavender Brown. Hermione blasts Greyback away from her with a spell, saving Lavender. Professor Trelawney finishes the job by hurling a crystal ball at Greyback, knocking him unconscious.
