Snape's Apology Rejected by Lily

Late at night, Severus Snape tries to apologize to Lily for calling her a "Mudblood." Lily, standing in front of the portrait entrance to Gryffindor Tower, refuses his apology. She declares that she can no longer be friends with Snape, accusing him of aligning himself with the Death Eaters and their hateful ideology.
