Young Severus Snape Observes Lily Evans

In the first of Snape's memories, Harry finds himself in a playground where a young Severus Snape watches Lily Evans and her sister Petunia. Lily displays early signs of her magical ability, delighting herself but angering her sister. Snape, eager to meet Lily, reveals himself and tells her that she is a witch, starting the beginning of their lifelong connection.
