Harry’s New School Uniform—Courtesy of Dudley’s Hand-Me-Downs
PAGES: 32-33
The next morning, Harry discovers a foul-smelling concoction bubbling away in the kitchen as Aunt Petunia dyes Dudley’s old clothes gray to serve as his new school uniform. Harry can barely contain his sarcasm, joking about the drenched state of his “uniform,” but Aunt Petunia snaps at him to silence his cheek. As he sits down to breakfast, Harry reflects on his upcoming first day at Stonewall High, envisioning himself in the ill-fitting, worn-out clothes that Petunia has repurposed for him. Despite the indignity, he bites his tongue, knowing any protest would only make matters worse.
