On their way to History of Magic, Harry and Ron walk with Gilderoy Lockhart, who is now convinced that all danger has passed with Rubeus Hagrid's arrest. Taking advantage of Lockhart's negligence, Harry and Ron sneak away to visit Moaning Myrtle's bathroom but are caught by Professor McGonagall. Amazingly, Harry's fabricated story about visiting Hermione works, and she allows them to go to the Hospital Wing.
