Harry Defeats the Basilisk with the Sword of Gryffindor

As the basilisk approaches, Fawkes delivers the Sorting Hat to Harry. Desperately seeking help, Harry reaches into the hat and pulls out the Sword of Gryffindor. With the sword, Harry stabs the basilisk through the roof of its mouth, but not before being bitten by one of its poisonous fangs.
