    What is the purpose of this website?

    The purpose of this website is to create a comprehensive database that connects of all the events that occur in the Harry Potter books.

    Note: This website is a work in progress and if you want to help reach out!

    How does the website work?

    The website is organized into two types of flows:

    1. Book Flow

    2. Timeline Flow

    There are more details about what these flows are below but here is a practical example.


    In PS Chapter 5: Diagon Alley when everyone is greeting Harry Dedalus Diggle mentions that he once bowed to him in a shop.

    If we click thorugh to Dedalus Diggle's page we can see that he was mentioned two times previously.

    Being able to jump from a passage in the book to a timeline of events from the Items perspective is what makes this website valuable.

    What is the Book Flow? {#book-flow}

    The Book Flow allows users to view all the events in the order they are written in the books.

    Here’s how it works: Books are divided into Chapters, which contain Events that include Items like Characters, Locations, and more.

    1. Book: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

    2. Chapter: The Boy Who Lived

    3. Event: The Dursleys' Perfectly Normal Life!

    4. Item: Vernon Dursley
